Description:

This map shows the extent of the United States as it was created by the Treaty of Paris in 1783 that ended the American Revolution. In comparison with earlier and later maps, this source illustrates the imperial expansion of the United States and the way the United States grew out of the a series of colonial imperial wars. The map also shows the approximate location of various Indian nations, and their towns.
