Level I: Description

Level II: Interpretation
1.What do you think the title means? What is the purpose of the song? Which amendment or amendments does this relate to? How might the music have been used? Where might the music have been used? How might people have advertised songs before the time of records, or electricity or radio?
Level III: Analysis
1. Why were women important to the temperance movement? What kind of function does music serve in a movement? Why would someone want to write this song?
